Greg Stalsberg, CFA®, CAIA®

Prior to joining Ryan Financial Group, Greg was with Slocum & Associates, an institutional investment consulting firm that serves over 130 clients in the U.S. and Canada with approximately $125 billion in assets under management.  Having spent over a decade at Slocum, he served in a variety of senior roles, but most recently held the title of Director, Capital Markets Research. In this role, he led the team’s research activities in Hedge Funds and Global Equities, and worked closely with the firm’s largest and most sophisticated clients and investment committees.  Greg conducted capital markets research that helped inform both strategic and tactical asset allocation decisions. He also contributed to external monthly market environment commentary and participated as a panelist in a variety of industry events to discuss his views and work on both traditional and alternative investments.

Greg received his B.A. in Finance from the University of St. Thomas, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder. Outside of the investment industry, Greg is a longstanding volunteer with Young Life, a non-profit youth ministry organization. He currently serves as Committee Chair for Young Life’s Northern Twin Cities division. Greg also serves as a Board Member for Jack’s Basket, a non-profit organization whose mission is to celebrate babies born with Down syndrome and educate medical providers on how to discuss the diagnosis in an unbiased way in hopes that the birth of a child with Down syndrome is celebrated like any other.  Greg resides in North Oaks, MN with his wife, Erin, and three children, McKenna, Brynn, and Callan.
